Meander Book Swap

Loved this papercraft swap inspired by YouTube tutorial by Sara Sandberg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXKGOH0aSrQ

I knew my swap partner likes owls! But I did not have many embellishments or stamps to play with, so I came with an idea to use a quote for my Meander book.

Advice from an OWL

Stay focused
Be ‘Whoo’ you are
Trust in a wise friend
Live off the land
Glide through the dark times
Be observant
Life’s a hoot!

- Ilan Shamir

Here is my final book.

3D Strawberry

A  card is now completed!   Yay.....

I created it for my friend's 45th birthday.  A script on a from page is a poet written for her and saying that a woman at 45 is like a berry! Strawberry, blackberry or wild/woodland strawberry, sweet and beautiful, and attractive.....

Templates for strawberry leaves and flowers I created from my photographs in Photoshop and cut with my Silhouette, then inked and shaped.

Berry size is approximately 4x4cm. So it will be hand delivered...today.

The original idea of  3D berry is not mine, however I created my own digital templates for realistic looking leaves and strawberry flowers.

Thanks for visiting my blog and happy crafting!

8 Марта

Today,  I have made a couple of cards for my mother and mother in law.

For this card, I created my own background by using a stencil and distress inks.

A topper is made with silhoette cameo and number is colored with Kasier marker.

I am entering this card in the CAS(E) this sketch challenge at http://casethissketch.blogspot.com.au

And for another one, I have made some changes to a card I have made a couple if weeks ago. Here what I got

Love is in the air

'Love is in the air everywhere I look around
Love is in the air every sight and every sound
And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when I look in your eyes...'

Are you ready for a Valentine's Day? Chocolate, jewellery, flowers, movie tickets, romantic dinners are always great Valentine gift ideas!

But sometimes, all needed is a stay at home date with a bottle of favourite wine, nice home made meal and a nice personalised card to show that love is still in the air!

I needed only one card, but I could not stops with just one:)  And now, I have a few to choose from.

And as for Valentine's day, the love hearts and glitter are a blessed couple! For very little money and effort, glitter can add gorgeous texture and depth to a card. It is a quick and cheap way to impress someone you love. Well, maybe not so easy, but a little bit of sparkles on clothes and hands is ok. I used clear scotch and glittering technique to create two different cards, and believe it or not, I have not made a huge mess.

I enter one card in a challenge at http://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com.au/ blog:

And another card in a challenge at http://casethissketch.blogspot.com.au/ blog:

And my last card for today is:

All three cards were made using my silhouette cameo cutting files.

Just Add Nature

Hi fellow crafters!

Here is what I came up with this week!

 I used a sketch

from http://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com.au/ blog and

a theme from Just Add Ink #296....Just Add Nature challenge blog.

Possum and gum leaves are digital stamps that I created for my Aussie Christmas cards. I coloured leaves with distress ink and possum with BIC fine point markers.

Just Add Ink #295 Just add a sketch

Today, I have made a card using a sketch

I have made my own stencil of the star and painted a star in gold acrylic, then added some gold glitter. The star is so sparkly and shiny. I will definitely create more stencils. That gives me endless possibilities. I wish I have more time to spend in my craft kingdom!

Here is my card
